Drone shows and the weather in Nigeria: rain, wind and harmattan
Rainy season, harmattan haze and evening wind. How weather affects a drone show and how to plan around it.
Nigeria's weather shapes every outdoor event, and drone shows are no different. Planning for it is part of the design.
Rainy season
In much of the south, the rainy season runs through the middle of the year. Light rain is often manageable, but heavy rain and storms are not. Have a backup time agreed in advance.
Wind
Strong wind affects how drones hold their formation. The flight team checks conditions and makes the call based on safety.
Harmattan
In the dry season, harmattan haze can reduce visibility. Brighter, simpler designs help the show read clearly through haze.
Our approach
We agree a weather plan with you before the day, so a passing shower does not take the moment away.
